6 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's NXT (5 March)

Long term readers of this column will be familiar, by now, with the NXT Expectation-Deficiency Paradox. Hype and episode up with TakeOver-level matches and the show usually underdelivers, throw any old s**t at the wall for a middle-of-the-road TV episode and it's normally off the charts. Thus, this weeks two cage matches, both looking to payoff intensely personal feuds, felt a bit of a red flag.
Now firmly treading water between two big shows we have stories that need to be kicked into touch as, simultaneously, others need kicked into gear. Championships need clear and obvious challengers, and some of the names who are going to be involved over WrestleMania weekend need a heft chunk of momentum to help get them there. Right now there are no glaring problems with the show, but we all know how quickly that can change.
So, with cautious optimism, we embark for another Wednesday night adventure at Full Sail. Nox vs Kai, Dream vs Strong, answers from Gargano, and a tag team division that's seemingly come out of nowhere. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is NXT...
