6 Ups & 5 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (29 April)
Bey and Cardona advance to Under Siege, Omega attacks, and Morrissey dominates.
Rebellion was only this past Sunday, and already, IMPACT Wrestling are setting themselves up perfectly for their next big event. That, of course, is the 15 May Under Siege special on IMPACT Plus.
Last night's IMPACT show did a great job in building plenty of hype for that event by creating two marquee matches. Firstly, Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers are due to battle Eddie Edwards and FinJuice in what should be a banging trios match, whereas Omega's first IMPACT World Championship challenger will also be decided here in a six-way encounter. Matt Cardona and Chris Bey have already qualified for this.
IMPACT legitimately feels as if it's in a new era with Omega as their champion. Chris Bey and Matt Cardona both have a chance to challenge Kenny Omega for a World Championship. That's something they would never have gotten elsewhere. IMPACT genuinely do a great job in creating opportunities for everyone.
Elsewhere on the episode, W. Morrissey destroyed poor Sam Beale, Taylor Wilde returned to action against Kimber Lee, Josh Alexander and Ace Austin had a cracking X Division Championship outing, and three Under Siege qualifiers brought action that ranged from superb to 50/50.
Let's get to it...
