WWE held a PPV Friday that was so rotten that you could smell it halfway around the world from wherever it was being held.

Well, we all know where it was being held, but WWE sure as hell wasn’t telling us. It might have been better for the wrestling world if the company’s secrecy about what country had lined their pockets extended to the entire event being kept under wraps, like the tournament in Rio de Janeiro to crown the first Intercontinental Champion.

Crown Jewel was an embarrassment on many levels. It was difficult to watch as wrestlers went through the motions much like they would at a house show with 1,500 locals. Only this time, it was in front of tens of thousands of attendees and broadcast on the WWE Network. Those who watched saw old people dominate the show, with a tag team main event that was longer than all four first-round matches of the World Cup tournament.

Throw in some seriously questionable decision-making regarding the two world titles and a non-wrestler winning a wrestling tournament he wasn’t even entered in, and you’ve got a really bad trainwreck of a show. It’ll be best if this event is forgotten and never spoken of again.

With that said, let’s find out what was modestly decent and what was dismal as hell. Let’s get to it…
