6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 29)

Whodunnit, announcer-turned-informant, "This is your life"... and a PPV on Sunday!

Did you know that the landscape of WWE could change forever, and the New Era could be completely redefined by one #1 contender’s match? Depending on who wins and goes on to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship – and only four of the five participants are former world champions – it could drastically alter the course of Raw.

If you believe that, then the hype machine for Extreme Rules is perfect for you and you’re enjoying the build to the PPV. But if you’re like the dwindling numbers watching Raw these days, you might occasionally tune in and catch some decent action – Monday’s triple threat and main event were solid – but you also might be underwhelmed by bland storylines and unspectacular matches.

It’s hard to call Raw in a funk, but it’s hard to get excited about the product right now. There are certainly elements that are good, but even Monday’s episode, while not bad, wasn’t terribly memorable, except for one segment – and not for the right reason.
