7 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (May 21)

Lashley's sisters... it's going to be bad, isn't it?

WWE is in a strange spot right now.

After cramming three special events into a four-week span, the company gave itself six weeks to build to its next big PPV, Money in the Bank. Whether that’s a good thing remains to be seen. On the plus side, there’s plenty of time to build up new feuds. On the downside, there might be too much time, leaving things stalling in neutral.

We already know all the Raw participants in the men’s MITB ladder match, but we still have two women’s spots open for the Raw roster. We know there will be a women’s title match between champion Nia Jax and “top contender” Ronda Rousey. And there likely will be Intercontinental and Raw Tag Team Championship matches as well.

As we hit the midpoint in the build between PPVs, we have to ask how WWE will continue the build, and whether it will increase interest in MITB, or whether things will stall on Monday. We’ve seen both happen, and when it’s good, Raw can be very good. But when it’s bad, Raw can be a snoozefest.

Let’s check out the big questions that need to be answered on Raw Monday night, and how things could shake out.

7. Will The B-Team Maintain Momentum?

If the writers are committed to doing something with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, then bully for them. The legacy superstars have been long-suffering jobbers for some time now, and it’s only fair that they get rewarded for playing cannon-fodder troops.

But even after winning their first match under the new team moniker, you have to wonder whether this was a one-week deal, and whether the B-Team will just revert to the perennial losers they’ve been all along. Or will the duo turn a corner, string together a few wins and earn a Raw Tag Team Championship match?

They knocked off another pair of lovable losers, Breezango, last week, so will we see them continue that path, or have the writers already lost interest?
