This article probably won't make yours truly well-liked in certain circles. Despite my rather scathing tone at times, I tend not to jump on the latest bandwagon of hate toward WWE, and the Becky Lynch fiasco is no different.

Frankly, the reaction toward Becky's heel turn on Charlotte Flair has been laughable. People are accusing the company that's about to make a billion dollars from TV rights of not knowing what they're doing. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Radio, a man always known for his level-headed and grounded takes, says he has seen Vince McMahon turn into Vince Russo. Seriously.

Instead of the usual piping hot takes, let's take a real look at the material conditions that produced heel Becky. Let's talk about how the arguments against her turn don't really matter. And let's get serious about the Queen herself: Charlotte Flair. Uncle Dave Meltzer proclaims that she's going to turn into "The female Roman Reigns" based on how this company is treating this angle. From MiTB, to Elimination Chamber, to the Royal Rumble, to the upcoming all-female PPV Evolution, everything has been building up to two women headlining the show of shows.

That means that Charlotte is going to go into this main event as a top babyface, as that has been the trajectory for her this whole time, and she's going to face off against the company's other top female babyface.

"But wait," one asks. "Why wasn't Charlotte the one to turn heel at SummerSlam? If she's gonna face off against Ronda, shouldn't she be the heel?"

The thing about that is...
