7 Reasons WWE Needs A Heel World Champion

A Heel must win Money in the Bank and become WWE champion. Here's why...

The main event of Money in the Bank on June 29 is a ladder match for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The two titles will be hanging from the ceiling as seven men put their bodies on the line to become the new WWE Champion. This past Monday on Raw we found out the seven names that will be a part of the match. The biggest favorites in the match are both babyfaces: John Cena and Roman Reigns. They were the last two men to gain entry into the battle and both of them did so in dominant fashion. The third babyface in the matchup is Sheamus, who is the current US Champion as well as a former World Champion that is probably not going to win the match simply because of his status in the company right now. He's in the midcard, but he's not at the very top. What's interesting about the match are the heels that are taking part in it. There are four of them: Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro and Bray Wyatt. Orton's a guy that has been main eventing in WWE for the last decade that also won a Money in the Bank match last year. Del Rio's a former World Champion that has really fallen off as fans wonder why he's even in the match. Cesaro is a "Paul Heyman Guy" that has had the future main eventer label stuck on him for a while, so this could be the time when that is realized. In the case of Wyatt, he's another heel on the rise that's coming off a feud with John Cena that he lost. When you consider that Daniel Bryan is waiting in the wings as a potential challenger for the new WWE Champion, it makes a lot of sense to put over a heel. By doing so, WWE could easily set up a feud for Bryan whenever he's ready whether that's at July's Battleground PPV or SummerSlam in August. If it's beyond that then that works too. If it's on a babyface then what happens with Bryan? Does he just go to the midcard? That doesn't make sense. There are a lot of ways that this match can go at Money in the Bank, so here's a look at seven reasons why a heel should be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
