There are only two months left in 2014, so it's the time of year where WWE has to start thinking about what stars they currently employ have the potential to go from midcard to near that main event level. We've seen it so many times in wrestling history where guys are locked in midcard spots, then within a few years they go from the "Ringmaster" Steve Austin to the top guy "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Triple H was a rich snob three years before he won his first WWE Title. It took a guy like Mark Henry 15 years to become a World Champion. Some get there faster than others, but if you hang around you just never know when your time might come. If you look at the WWE roster as it sits right now, who are some of the guys that can be (to borrow an old phrase used for Brock Lesnar) "the next big thing" in WWE? That's what we're here to try to figure out today. With a little tweaking, a solid push and sometimes a turn, there are seven guys that stand out as potential huge stars in WWE. The rule is this: No former WWE or World Champions will be mentioned and nobody that's currently on NXT right now. There are guys like The Miz or Dolph Ziggler that could be mentioned here, but they're former major champions. Some of the NXT talents are Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn, The Ascension and others that should be on the main roster by now. They'll be considered "new" when they're on the main roster, so they won't fit what we're looking for here. Think about who you might have been thinking of in this spot last year. Guys like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns would all fit this category a year ago. Now they're at the top or near the top. None of them are going to be included because we've seen them in featured roles this year. Rusev is obviously getting a push. Just a matter of when. We'll leave him out of this one too. Here are the seven current WWE superstars that should become bigger stars, and potentially main event players, in 2015.
