8 Best Booked Wrestlers In WWE Today

Standing out in a vast ocean of talent isn't easy...

At a time when Braun Strowman is often presented as a dim-witted cartoon monster, Asuka's credibility has gone the way of the dodo, and Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is purposely booked in a way that attracts go-away heat, it's safe to say that something has gone awry in WWE.

Their talent pool is vast. It's overflowing with genuinely world-class athletes, even at Performance Center "rookie" level (Dominik Dijakovic is going to blow you away a few months from now). Unfortunately, this means little to an organisation incapable of presenting more than a handful in a flattering light at any given time.

But while it is becoming increasingly rare for WWE to nail a wrestler's booking in a way that actually enhances them, the men and women within prove that this dying art isn't dead yet.

NXT wrestlers have been excluded in the name of balance. The developmental brand remains WWE's most well-booked, and with the vast majority of its performers presented positively, it'd cheap to populate all ten spots with Tommaso Ciampas and Shanya Baszlers. Regardless, these perfectly portrayed main rosters stars are exactly where they should be at the moment...

8. The B Team

Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas are a couple of absolute dorks, and that's fine. It's exactly how they should be presented. Years of undercard floundering can't be transformed into badassery years after the subjects have been typecast as goobers, so the B Team's endearingly stupid act puts the duo right where they need to be.

Everything from their sh*tty hand-drawn t-shirts to that goofy new entrance theme hits the mark. Their awe-struck reactions to ever bit of success they bumble their way into are still entertaining, and Axel and Dallas are more over now than at any other point in their respective careers. The Miztourage has been successfully upgraded, and while they probably shouldn't hold the Raw Tag Team Championships for any great length of time, and least they're entertaining.

WWE have to be careful, though. The law of diminishing returns will eventually kick in, as it always does with comedy acts in this company. Whether or not the bookers can prolong the duo's shelf-life remains to be seen, but it's hard to complain about their portrayal at the moment, particularly with the rest of the division so bland.
