All NXT talent are scheduled to be backstage at this weekend's Royal Rumble, and at least a couple of debuts are almost certainly going to be on the agenda. It is the perfect move for WWE to pull, a simple way they can create buzz with an unexpected appearance. It is also a great introduction to main roster life for whoever gets the gig. Several NXT wrestlers are ready for the call up, with some having been ready for over a year now. In analysing the likeliest debuts, this list will be kept to eight names, as the following men represent the genuine contenders for a spot in the match. With only eighteen names confirmed by WWE for the Rumble, and with Dave Meltzer reporting that "surprises" will happen, the following NXT talent could be on the main roster this Sunday.
8. Tye Dillinger
Tye Dillinger has been wrestling since 2002, he's more than capable of mixing it up in the Rumble this Sunday. But his spot isn't likely to be based on his ring talent, instead it is going to revolve around the opportunity of exploiting his "Perfect 10" gimmick. The internet wrestling community have already been talking about how awesome it would be, if at the number ten entry, Dillinger comes out. He'd then do his perfect 10 act as he walked to the ring, as the crowd chanted "ten" repeatedly. It'd be a small but nice touch from WWE, a great spot for a bit of audience interaction and a play on the number ten entry. Of course, he'd then be promptly eliminated, to complete the comedy passage.
