9 Best Reactions From WWE Draft 2016
Microphone meltdowns, a Swiss shooter and some wonderful one-liners...
Over the years, we’ve seen some pretty great reactions from
WWE Superstars in response to being drafted.
Back in 2002, the Undertaker didn’t take too kindly when his name was called by Ric Flair - who just so happened to have been his opponent in a recent WrestleMania clash. And in 2004 we saw Triple H pulling out his trademark water spray party trick, although this time it wasn’t for the usual reasons…
Since then, plenty of guys have lost their cool in response to seeing their circumstances change (hey, Jim Ross), and in this year’s Draft, the case was no different. In fact, we had an entire show on the WWE Network dedicated to the fallout from each Draft pick.
On top of that, WWE’s YouTube channel has been fairly proactive in sharing some of the best bits from behind the scenes at SmackDown. And for anything they missed, there’s always good old Twitter to help make sure no drama went by unnoticed.
This article provides a roundup of the most memorable of these moments, as we look back at some of the best reactions from the 2016 WWE Draft.
Who was happy? Who was sad? Who wants to do a, erm...a....lucha...a lucha thing?

9. Heath Slater
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OJegb8vj-UE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>Poor Heath Slater. Not only did he get split up from his
Social Outcast buddies, but he was forced to watch both Bo Dallas and Curtis
Axel get drafted to Raw ahead of him.
And then to compound his misery once and for all, Slater found out that of all the names on the WWE Draft list, he was the only one to be left unpicked.
With neither commissioner calling his name, Slater was forced to wait until the bitter end. At which point, instead of being told it was time to go home, the arena crew simply turned out the lights on the literal social outcast.
As minor a detail as this was on the Draft, it was a nice touch all the same, and a role that Slater played to perfection as usual.
Still, this really is a blessing in disguise for him. He’s now the hottest free agent in the WWE. Admittedly also the only free agent in the WWE, but still the hottest nonetheless. WWE.com have even hinted that Slater might be off to EVOLVE and some UK indies, since he's supposedly not deemed worthy of being on WWE TV proper.
