AEW Sign FOUR New Talents

Librarians making noise.

In addition to securing Dustin Rhodes for Double Or Nothing - the stellar build to which has already partly exorcised the anticlimactic botch that was Fastlane 2015's indictment of fantasy booking - AEW announced the signings of four additional talents on the most recent edition of Being The Elite.

Maintaining the theme of recruiting fringe, fresh cult talent to put over the company as the youthful antithesis (antidote?) to WWE, the tag team Private Party already have the hipster set purring on Twitter. A super-charismatic, witty, engaging, and very creative duo, Isiah Kennedy and Marq Queen boast the sort of act, even this early into their careers, that will get over on night one.

A pair of Librarians have also been recruited, in storylines, by Cody and the Bucks as part of their incompetent management schtick (what was that Dave Meltzer was saying, about how AEW have elected not to take shots at WWE?)

Leva Bates, of course, enjoyed cult NXT stardom as the deeply endearing Blue Pants; "competing" for the gimmick is Peter Avalon, who boasts a winning, sleazy heel schtick in which he is seemingly, infuriatingly oblivious to his slender stature.

Maximising potential is AEW's mission statement, it seems - though how this translates to network television is another matter. The audacity, and scouting nous, however, must be commended.
