Despite being active in the company for the best part of a year, Josh Woods has only now been added to All Elite Wrestling's online roster page.

Woods, who has been appearing for the Tony Khan-helmed promotion since December 2021, was added sometime last week. His headshot is present and correct along with a 13-6 overall record since coming into the promotion.

AEW's online roster listing is notoriously slow to update. Nonetheless, appearing on it typically means that somebody has been signed to a full-time contract, rather than the reported per-date deal Woods was previously bound to. AEW is yet to formally confirm this, though it is a promising sign for the former ROH Pure Champion.

Though best known for his work in ROH (where he wrestled from October 2016 onwards) and AEW, Woods also has WWE on his resume, having competed under a developmental contract between 2014 and 2016. He has most recently been seen teaming with Tony Nese under 'Smart' Mark Sterling's management in AEW. Competing as The Varsity Athletes, they were defeated by The Acclaimed on last week's Rampage.

Beyond AEW, Woods has kept only a sporadic independent schedule lately, working only one date since July (a 9 September outing for WrestlePro).
