Exciting things appear to be on the horizon for All Elite Wrestling's Malakai Black.

Speaking with Soundsphere's Dom Smith, the House of Black leader didn't give any specific details away, but suggested that he was looking forward to the things that are currently planned for him. This comes following a rough patch impacting both his personal and professional lives, which the former Tommy End accepts as "part of the gig":-

"I'm doing pretty well, man. I can't really complain at the moment, knowing what I know, knowing what I'm going to do, and all that sort. So, like, I have a lot of stuff to look forward to. Yeah, doing well. Little bit of a rough couple months, private and professionally, but, you know, it's part of the gig. It's part of what we do, unfortunately you can't always separate the two 'cause they trickle into one another. But I'm doing pretty well today."

Black and stablemates Brody King and Buddy Matthews currently find themselves locking horns with Death Triangle on AEW television. A trios match pitting Malakai's group against Rey Fenix, PAC, and Penta Oscuro appears to be on the horizon, though AEW is yet to formally announce anything.

This storyline has been brewing for much of 2022. February's Revolution pay-per-view brought a trios bout between the House of Black and Penta, PAC, and guest star Erick Redbeard, who was effectively filling in for the injured Fenix. Since then, the House has also set its sights on undercard favourite Fuego Del Sol.

Malakai has been with AEW since July 2021, having debuted on that month's Road Rager special episode of Dynamite.
