Having to film retakes for cinematic matches didn't do much for this AEW wrestler.

Darby Allin called filming a cinematic-style match "super fun", but says it isn't something he fancies doing again.

The AEW star told Renee Paquette's 'Sessions' podcast that he was frustrated when All Elite boss Tony Khan repeatedly stopped the action at Revolution 2021. There, Darby teamed with on-screen mentor Sting to beat Team Taz members Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a cinematic 'Street Fight' scene.

Khan yelled, "CUT!" more than once during the lengthy filming session though, and that left several workers scratching their heads. At one point, Tony was concerned that Allin dropping his baseball bat down to Sting might accidentally crack the WCW legend in the head and leave him out cold on the floor.

Both wrestlers said it'd be fine, but Khan wasn't having it. They...did it anyway, and Sting managed to catch the bat before it cracked him in the noggin'.

Darby also didn't like having to repeat certain spots so the camera could get another shot. He recalled being thrown into a nearby door, then being asked to do it again so they could film from a different angle.
