AEW Stars React To INSANE Boneyard Match At WrestleMania 36!

"Cinematic pro-wrestling, I knew you'd come".

It's long been said that WWE does its best work creatively when its back is up against the wall. This year's WrestleMania, even by the company's bizarre standards, presented a booking challenge unlike anything we've ever seen before and yet, as the show went off the air, there was an astonishing feeling that they might just have pulled it off.

This was, in no small thanks, to AJ Styles and The Undertaker's Boneyard match, a simply jaw-dropping piece of pro-wrestling theatre. In the space of 35 minutes, it silenced all the doubters who had (understandably) dismissed the hokey, confusing build over the past few weeks, and simultaneously became the industry's biggest talking point for the next few weeks.

Comparisons were immediately drawn to Matt Hardy's Final Deletion, arguably wrestling's most famous "cinematic" match of recent years, and the AEW star took to Twitter to respond.

He wasn't the only one from the company to offer their thoughts, as Evil Uno of the Dark Order chimed in to, firstly, distance himself from the druids who appeared in the match, but eventually to heap praise on it.

With mere hours gone since the broadcast expect social media to fill up with plaudits like this as the day rolls on. These two likely won't be the only ones who reach across the brand divide to congratulate their counterparts on a truly special moment in WrestleMania history.
