AEW newcomer Claudio Castagnoli will never forget the experiences he shared with John Cena in-ring, or the lessons he learned from the WWE legend backstage.

Claudio told NBC Sports Boston that he's "very grateful" to Cena for always taking time out to improve him as a performer and as a human being. He'd also love to think that JC has the same amount of respect for him as he has for John.

No doubt - Cena has always been very high on the one-time Cesaro when asked, and seemed to specifically enjoy their memorable back-and-forth bout from the 17 February 2014 episode of Raw. That's worth seeing for those fans who haven't had the pleasure, and so is the rematch from the 29 June 2015 edition.

Both rank amongst Claudio's best WWE matches, that's for sure. Castagnoli says he learned a huge amount from Cena, and that's something he'll carry with him forever. Now, the AEW star has his sights set on tearing down the house opposite Jonathan Gresham at this weekend's ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.

The All Elite wrestling machine rolls on, but he's thankful to Cena.
