In line with CM Punk's consistently improving in-ring form since returning to wrestling in the summer of 2021, it seems as though audiences are now being treated to some of the AEW's stars classic attires too.

As noted by Redditor NASCARJoey, Punk sported the exact same trunks for his tag team match with Jon Moxley against FTR on the February 9th Dynamite as he wore for his epic early showing in the 2010 Royal Rumble.

Punk diverted from his black/blue/red aesthetic for the first time for last week's main event with MJF, sporting camouflage presumably to denote the war he was about to engage in. The red may well have just been a case of unearthing an old favourite, but Punk's been cute with his callbacks and this might have fed into his belief that he had no friends, (only foes) in the locker room before Moxley answered the call.

Punk and Moxley defeated The Pinnacle's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in an effort to earn the Chicago star a rematch with MJF following their epic first bout. Expect more golden oldies and brand new looks as Punk's stock continues to soar.
