Former three-time AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara is still suspended from the company dating back to an incident that occurred in February this year.

That's according to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, who posted as much in answer to a question from an X user. His succinct response to the ongoing situation was as follows;

For those unaware, the situation in question refers to a match on the February 16th edition of Rampage where Guevara's knee hit Jeff Hardy's face from a shooting star press. It was reported that concussion protocol wasn't followed in the match, though it was later noted that Hardy had suffered a broken nose rather than a concussion. He wrestled once more before the suspension dropped, losing to Powerhouse Hobbs on the February 24th Collision, but hasn't been used since. As of now - over two months later - the same suspension remains in place.

Guevara has been suspended by the company once before. In 2020, some appalling comments he made about Sasha Banks/Mercedes Moné on 2016 podcast appearance resulted in him losing time without pay as well as attending sensitivity training. Though no official edict came down from management, he also later took a break from television following a backstage skirmish with Andrade El Idolo in 2022, shortly after a similar situation reportedly occurred with Eddie Kingston.
