AEW's Team Taz Disbands After Last Week's Betrayal
Taz says he's done with group after Powerhouse Hobbs turned on Ricky Starks.
Last week saw all three members of Team Taz involved in conflict that resulted in a new FTW Champion and the end of a tag team.
After Hook defeated Ricky Starks for the FTW title, Absolute cut a babyface promo with Powerhouse Hobbs by his side. However, Hobbs blindsided his tag partner and laid him out while Taz, on commentary, yelled about how he also was blindsided by this.
Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Taz told the TV audience that he had no knowledge about any of what happened last week: Starks holding a second open challenge for the FTW Championship, Hook answering the challenge, and Hobbs turning on Ricky.
Because of all of that instability, Taz said Team Taz was done, over, finito. He said he wished all three men well in their careers, but he did not want to try to continue with the group in light of what happened.
Afterwards, Hobbs decimated Ren Jones in a squash. Starks rushed the ring to attack Powerhouse after the match, but he fell victim again to a spinebuster.

It's worth noting that Starks came rushing out of the babyface tunnel, so you can consider that face turn complete.
Team Taz has had some tumultuous moments, including drumming Brian Cage out of the group, and trying to recruit Dante Martin, only for Martin to double-cross them.
