While the AEW women's roster is stacked with a huge amount of talent, that roster could be set to be handed another major boost with the return of Megan Bayne.

Bayne has been under contract with AEW for years by this point, having first wrestled for the promotion back in April 2021. Despite this, the 25-year-old has only competed seven times for AEW - the most recent being a June 2023 tag team dark match loss - and has instead spent most of the past 12 months working for Stardom in addition to a handful of recent dates for GCW.

For those unaware, an ACL injury suffered in early 2022 kept Megan out of action for over a year, and AEW urged her to seek out outside bookings once she was cleared to return. That's where the Stardom run came about, plus various independent dates for the Connecticut native. Now though, Fightful Select reports that Bayne could finally be returning full-time to AEW, with creative pitches having already been made on that front and early indicators suggesting she'll be utilised as a heel.

Given how impressive so much of that Stardom run has been, Megan Bayne could be a fantastic addition to AEW's already strong female roster.
