Alexa Bliss may be riding a storyline high after leading her Women's Survivor Series to victory, but a potential shift in her role on the flagship show may be the only escape from a current career low following yet another failed medical.

After weeks on the sidelines flexing her muscles on the microphone, WWE may be considering pivoting her towards a General Manager's role following Baron Corbin's high stakes clash with Braun Strowman at December's Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view.

PWInsider.com's hotline today reported that 'The Goddess' underwent further testing in Los Angeles while WWE were in town over the weekend, but the examination results offered "no clear return timetable". She's not wrestled at all since an October 20th house show tag team loss against Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey, and hasn't competed on screen since her Hell In A Cell defeat against 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet" way back in September. The story comes with the usual "plans change" caveat, but she's become a strong advocate for herself by virtue of her superlative performances over the last month or so.

Carrying long segments with confidence, Bliss has augmented her character in the process and would make history for the company should she assume the role currently shared by 'The Lone Wolf' and an absent Kurt Angle. Excluding whatever Stephanie McMahon's been up to at any given time, WWE have never had female General Managers on both main shows at the same time. With nine years remaining on their controversial Saudi Arabian pay-per-view deal and WrestleMania 35 on the horizon, there's an easy opportunity to generate some positive PR at precisely the right time.
