PWInsider's Mike Johnson notes that last night's WWE Raw was subjected to several last-minute rewrites, which is why the show ended up being so heavy on rematches.

Per Johnson, much of Raw's first hour wasn't finalised until around 35-45 minutes before the show hit the airwaves, with the script torn up several times throughout the day.

While there's no word on which of these bouts came around because of this, Sheamus vs. Humberto Carrillo, Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair, Cedric Alexander vs. Shelton Benjamin, and Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Tamina and Natalya were all rematches last night.

The same report notes that while Alexa Bliss didn't appear on camera, she was backstage. Her influence was felt in the night's main event, where pyrotechnics blowing up in Reginald's face led to a distraction roll-up finish, with Natalya pinning Shayna Baszler.

Bliss had made an Instagram post earlier in the day, asking for medical assistance with her sick pet pig, Larry. There's no word on why she didn't appear on the show.

Per Johnson, Keith Lee wasn't backstage at Raw last night. The former NXT Champion has been missing from WWE programming since February.
