The WWE backstage has been buzzing with speculation about John Cena's upcoming time off, PWInsider are reporting. Several superstars have reached out to Cena and checked he is okay, but he has insisted he is fine. Cena has told his colleagues that when everyone finds out why he is temporarily leaving, they'll see it is a good thing. The report adds that the time off isn't linked to an injury, and Nikki Bella isn't a factor. There had been one rumour that maybe Cena and Nikki were getting married, but that isn't thought to be the case. Cena asked for the November time off earlier in the summer, and is scheduled to leave after Hell In A Cell. His return is currently pencilled in for the December 26 house show at Madison Square Garden. He'll undoubtedly be a big loss to WWE, especially amid recent bad Raw ratings and fluctuating Network subscriptions. However, The Undertaker is said to be open to working more dates this year, and it is understood that WWE and The Rock have talked about doing something together before the end of 2015. If WWE can get Taker or Rocky involved, it'll go a long way to covering for Cena's near two month absence.
