Having suffered a suspected heart attack last month, there’s now a hugely positive update on ‘Road Dogg’ Brian James.

As per PWInsider, James made his in-person return to his NXT role at this past Tuesday’s TV tapings. Road Dogg has served as a producer and one of the main driving forces behind the scenes for the NXT brand in recent years.

Back on 25 March, the one-time Intercontinental Champion’s wife took to social media to reveal that Brian had suffered what was believed to be a heart attack. After being released from hospital the following week, the D-O-Double G revealed that his heart is good, but that he needs to make certain changes moving forward.

James actually returned to work as part of NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, although he worked that event virtually from the comfort of his own home – and he has continued to work virtually in the weeks since then.

Tuesday marked the WWE Hall of Famer’s first night back as a physical presence at NXT, with him in attendance at the Capitol Wrestling Center venue that houses WWE’s black and gold brand.
