Balor Club Looking More Likely, WWE Files New Trademark Request

WWE appears to be making plans for a new faction in the near future.

As former New Japan Pro Wrestling Bullet Club members Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, and AJ Styles move closer to an eventual debut with WWE, it's been revealed that WWE filed a new trademark request on the term Balor Club last week. The request was filed on January 5th with the United States Trademark Office. As the arrival of the former Bullet Club members in WWE remains pending, many have been wondering if the company plans to reunite Anderson and Gallows with Finn Balor. Balor was the leader of the Bullet Club in New Japan (as Prince Devitt) prior to his departure for WWE. AJ Styles took over as the leader of the group following Balor's exit from Japan; the two men were never in the group simultaneously. Styles doesn't seem as likely to be a member of a new Balor Club stable for this reason and the fact that he's likely to be headed to the main roster from the get-go. WWE would not be able to use the name Bullet Club for the faction, as that trademark is owned by New Japan Pro Wrestling. Despite what you may have read elsewhere on the internet, WWE did not buy the rights to the Bullet Club name from New Japan. If the group reunited, they will almost certainly use the Balor Club name. The new trademark filing his week (they originally created the trademark in April 2015) seems to indicate something new is going on in regards to the future of the Balor Club image. https://twitter.com/wwebalor/status/686264372876980224 The description for the trademark filing is as follows:
