Becky Lynch To Miss WWE India Trip Due To Passport Issue
Apparently being The Man AND a former flight attendant didn't help her board the plane.
WWE superstars headed on their way to India Wednesday for a special live event, but one of the company's biggest stars was left on the tarmac.
Becky Lynch said she was unable to board the plane and make the trip due to "a tiny tear in my passport," leaving the former women's champion in America and apologizing to fans on X (formerly Twitter)
WWE is making its first trip to India since 2017, heading to Hyderabad, Telangana for Friday's Superstar Spectacle, a show to be broadcast only in India. The main draw for the event is John Cena, who will be wrestling in India for the first time in his career, as he teams with Seth Rollins (Lynch's husband) against Imperium.
There were only two other matches listed publicly: Rhea Ripley versus Natalya for the Women's World Championship, and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn against Indus Sher.
It was unclear what role Big Time Becks would have played at Superstar Spectacle, but Lynch apologized to a fan who was excited to see her live for the first time on Friday:
I’m so sorry I can’t make the show anymore ? thank you for all your support. We will rock again ❤️ https://t.co/HLnqqh4GIR

Stateside, Lynch is slated to challenge Tiffany Stratton next week for her NXT Women's Championship, a title Becky has never held.
Friday's event will actually be the second Superstar Spectacle show, with the 2021 edition being taped from the WWE ThunderDome in January 2021 and broadcast in India.
