USA Today's For The Win website broke the news of her induction to the Class of 2017.

Phoenix told the site;

“To hear they find my career was worthy enough and that I did well enough in the ring to be honored among the greatest of all time was incredible and the biggest compliment I could ever ask for.”

During a time that WWE was mainly hiring models for the women's division, Phoenix was a standout and was often pushed as the most dominant woman in the company. She began training in 2005 in developmental, and enjoyed a successful main roster run from from 2006 to 2012. Besides all the gold she held, she was also in a memorable pairing with Santino and is one of only three women to ever be a participant in the Royal Rumble.

Despite still being at the top of her game, she retired from wrestling at the age of 31. She's now 36 and it's a bit of a shame that the company didn't treat the women's division seriously during her prime. You can only imagine how many more great matches she would have had.

But for now, Phoenix seems satisfied with her home life and raising children with her husband Adam "Edge" Copeland, a fellow Hall of Famer.

The Hall of Fame ceremony takes place on Mar. 31, and will also feature the inductions of Kurt Angle, DDP, The Rock 'n' Roll Express and Teddy Long.
