Vince McMahon is considering "switching up The New Day again" according to Wrestling Observer's Filthy Four Daily with Tom Lawlor.

Bryan Alvarez explained that Vince has big changes planned for the five-time tag team champions, although he did caution that McMahon had thought about this in the past before deciding not to change the act. Nevertheless, it appears WWE were considering "doing something different" with the trio as recently as last week.

On this week's episode of SmackDown Live, The New Day revealed they were no longer allowed to share their pancakes with the WWE Universe due to doctors orders, but this was contradicted on WWE's recap of Tuesday's show which stated:-

"Before the horrors of The New Day tossing out heads of lettuce soaked in balsamic vinaigrette to the WWE Universe could become reality, however, they ditched that plan because nobody really keeps their resolutions, right?"

The proposed switch-up for The New Day could take a variety of forms; we could see them return to being a heel stable which catapulted them to huge success back in 2015, a much anticipated and long overdue push for Big E, or perhaps Kofi Kingston or even Xavier Woods going for singles titles.

Regardless, despite fans not being tired of the trio, a reinvention could be the perfect catalyst for The New Day in 2019.
