Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Tamina and Natalya won't happen at WrestleMania Backlash.

Why? Well, WWE's decision-makers have decided to shunt the 'Mania 37 rematch forward to next week's 'go home' episode of SmackDown before the 16 May pay-per-view instead. Nattie and Tamina beat the current Women's Tag-Team Champs in a non-title bout last week - now, they're set for a little championship action yet again.

Friday's latest included Tamina beating Reginald by disqualification. Both Nia and Shayna attacked Tam, which then helped set up WWE's announcement for next week.

Putting the title rematch on free TV rather than behind a paywall is probably for the best. Natalya and Tamina proved fine challengers in Tampa at 'Mania, but there's been little clamour for a repeat. It's also really obvious that WWE's writers don't have a concrete plan for Jax and Baszler as champs anymore.

It wouldn't be a huge shocker if the company decided to split them by putting the belts on some veterans next week. Baszler could likely do with another singles run against someone like Rhea Ripley or Bianca Belair anyway.
