Booker T Shoots On CM Punk, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks & AEW
WWE legend Booker T chimes in on AEW's backstage drama and why it's worrying.
Booker T had a lot to say about the drama currently gripping AEW during the latest edition of his podcast.
In particular, the WWE Hall Of Famer believes CM Punk should've been "the most mature guy in the room" and defused the situation before it got out of hand. Booker is also concerned that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks have "beat everybody".
"It’s almost ridiculous. To be EVPs and then to create a division, and then be the first ones to win it? What are we doing here? We’re just playing games. Let’s give ourselves a bonus. Let’s give ourselves a raise. We’re EVPs. We can do whatever we want to do!".
Continuing, Book said that he doesn't blame The Elite for confronting Punk after he pretty much told them to during his fiery post-All Out press conference. He does, however, think everyone involved put Tony Khan in a sticky position that could result in legal troubles for the AEW boss.
Booker thinks Punk should've been able to get a grasp on things and be the "veteran" who kept his cool. That's obviously not what happened.
