Chavo Guererro is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and one of the finest pro wrestlers of his generation. He had a notable run in the 90's into the 2000's, finding fame in WCW before transitioning into success with the WWE. Fans will never forget his tag matches with Eddie Guerrero, or some of the stunning efforts he had against Rey Mysterio. Chavo really was the complete worker. Whether it was mat wrestling or top rope flying, he did everything with speed and smoothness that translated beautifully on screen. Following his exit from the WWE in 2011, Chavo enjoyed a brief run in TNA, and can currently be seen on the exciting Lucha Underground show. However, it is Guerrero's new project in the comic book world that has got wrestling fans talking, and he reached out to WhatCulture to reveal all about his comic future. The book will be called Warrior's Creed and features Chavo as the lead hero. "I have an incredible degree of input and access to the rest of the creative team which has made for a very rewarding experience," he says. "Editor Shannon Eric Denton and I assembled a fabulous team of Fabian Nicieaza as the writer and Eddie Nunez as the artist. I'm really glad the guys at Lion Forge reached out to me so that we could craft a new kind of hero for an international market." Fans are curious as to what Warrior's Creed will involve, and Chavo is promising "an over the top adventure story that takes me all around the world. Action, danger, intrigue, and a healthy dose of Latin culture." The story will tell the tale of the legendary Guerrero DNA. This has made some fans wonder if we could even see the late, great Eddie Guerrero in future storylines. "We don't want to give too much away," Chavo states, "but family is a key part of this storyline in both what it means to me and from the hero's perspective what lengths he'd take to protect that family." The story has potential to be very big with the latino audience. The latino people have so far been under-represented in the traditional comic book superheroes. However, Chavo is keen to point out that this will be a story for the masses. "This is a story so big that it goes beyond just being a Latin superhero. Just like when I'm in the ring, I'm a champion for all but have always been clear about who I am and where I'm from. Be true to who you are and you'll ring true for everyone." "I have so much going on right now. In addition to Warrior's Creed, I'm a wrestler and producer on €œLucha Underground,€ a new wrestling show on the El Rey network. It's unlike any wrestling show done before, with the definite flair of executive producer Mark Burnett and director Robert Rodriguez. I just finished shooting a movie with MMA fighter Rampage Jackson called "Vigilante Diaries." The director Christian Sesma is fantastic, and I€™m excited for the release in 2015."
