Chris Hemsworth Talks Playing Hulk Hogan In Upcoming Movie
Thor is 'fascinated' by the world of pro wrestling.
Chris Hemsworth recently spoke to Screen Rant about his involvement in the upcoming Todd Phillips' directed Hulk Hogan Biopic.
After becoming a top Hollywood draw thanks to his performances as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was announced in February 2019 that Hemsworth would be taking on the role of 'The Immortal' wrestler in an forthcoming Netflix production - which he would also be producing alongside Bradley Cooper
Now, in a recent Screen Rant interview, Hemsworth has revealed that he's as intrigued as we are, due to not even reading a script yet!
'Look, I haven’t read a script yet. I know it’s being written now and worked on. I know very little about that. It’s sort of in the process now. I’m just fascinated by that world, and I think they’re pretty keen to show a side of the world that people haven’t seen before. I’m as intrigued as you are.'
There's no word on when the Todd Phillips' directed film will begin shooting, but judging by Hemsworth's comments it may not be for some time.
If Phillips' last outing (Joker) was anything to go by, a warts and all portrayal of one of the biggest figures in the history of pro wrestling is to be expected. We may just have to be a little patient, as a 'Hulked-up' Hemsworth is likely still a couple of years away.
