There was some unexpected fallout from a Triple H promo on this week's WWE RAW. HHH cut a promo on Daniel Bryan, to set up Sunday's WWE Title match, in which he grouped him with Edge, Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho as talented stars who were talented and popular but were never "the guy" for WWE. Hunter continued, if any of them had been the face of WWE years ago, they would all be working for Ted Turner right now. This was obviously a reference to the long dead WCW and the Monday Night Wars. We've heard stuff like this in the past, Edge was even personality involved a few weeks back in a similar angle on Raw with Triple H. However, Chris Jericho didn't take this so well and replied via his Twitter:
"Thing is @tripleh despite ur major push, u never were either. Good luck in ur future endeavours."
Jericho also posted this tweet on Tuesday morning:
"Time to move on guys. Bye bye @wwe! Now time for more important things...any doubt that #DayInTheLife is the best @thebeatles song ever??"
Jericho removed this tweet sometime after its posting. Jericho finished up his latest WWE run on an episode of WWE Smackdown earlier this year following an Intercontinental Championship match with Curtis Axel. Jericho stated then that "that's all for now folks..." and it appears that may be all for a lot longer than some had hoped. Jericho is currently touring with his band Fozzy. He also released a sneak peek of a new web series entitled "But I'm Chris Jericho", which will debut on the 29th of October. Is this an end to all the speculation regarding Jericho's wrestling future? It appears that 2013 may be be the last time that we'll see Jericho in the WWE for the near future. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
