Speaking during a recent appearance on Konnan’s Keepin’ it 100 podcast, Chris Jericho stated his belief that AEW needs a backstage “organizer” to help tighten their shows up.

While ‘Le Champion’ sounded happy with the promotion’s lack of writers, saying that they are “very proud of that,” he would “like to see a little bit more attention” paid to certain details, stating his belief that an organizer would be of considerable benefit.

Jericho cited the example of his Inner Circle’s recent courtship of MJF, which left the question of “Will MJF join the Inner Circle?” hanging. He talked about the Town Hall Meeting, which closed on Jericho challenging ‘The Salt of the Earth’ to face him at Full Gear 2020, in particular, and pointed out that Dynamite went to a video package of Taz asking Powerhouse Hobbs to join Team Taz immediately after that.

The veteran explained that he approached the production team after seeing this, asking why two very similar angles had gone back-to-back. His suggested solutions included moving the Taz package elsewhere or using a word other than “join” for the Hobbs situation.

“‘Will MJF join the Inner Circle?’ was the tagline for our pay-per-view match,” Jericho said. “Therefore, any other joinings should be suspended for this duration. That’s just common sense, but sometimes those things just fall through the cracks.”
