This sounds like something straight out of Kayfabe News, but it's absolutely true: apparently, Chris Jericho's AEW World Championship belt was stolen whilst he was out enjoying dinner just days after winning the strap against Hangman Page at All Out.

According to an incident report from the Tallahassee, FL police department, Jericho's 15 or so pounds of new gold went walkies whilst he was out eating at 2400 Monroe Street's Longhorn Steakhouse.

Police were subsequently called once Jericho noticed his strap had been snatched. So far, the belt has not been retrieved.

The crime has been reported as grand theft:

"The victim stated he arrived at the Millionaire Club Airport Terminal and placed the belt inside his rented limousine. The limo driver shuttled the victim to Longhorn for dinner. The victim remained at Longhorn while the limo driver returned to the airport. The victim had taken the wrong luggage from the airport and the driver took it back to the terminal. When the driver picked up the victim from the restaurant, the belt was missing. Responding officers searched the limo and airport for the belt without success."

In the hours since the robbery, Jericho has turned his misfortune into absolute Twitter gold. Reclining in a jacuzzi at his palatial home, The Painmaker took aim at the heinous miscreant who pilfered his property - whilst once again enjoying "a lil' bit of the bubbly" - promising them a whole world of hurt.

He said he had launched a worldwide investigation, and vowed to reclaim the title.
