Backing up reports from John Pollock of POST Wrestling that surfaced online just hours before showtime, WWE confirmed significant changes to the Clash Of Champions card as the show's Kickoff commenced.

Charley Caruso noted that Nikki Cross, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler were "not medically cleared", resulting in the postponement of the Women's Tag Team Title clash, and a change to the SmackDown Women's Championship contest to be addressed by Bayley herself on the show.

Any further discussion of the doubles division will occur on tomorrow night's edition of Monday Night Raw. There were no further updates on the health of the performers that weren't cleared, nor any specific clarity about the nature of the injuries/illnesses of the trio.

This came with the news that the SmackDown Tag Team Title battle between Champions Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura and Lucha House Party would now be part of the Kickoff Show in place of the originally-advertised bout between Asuka and Zelina Vega. Caruso noted finally that the triple threat Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match between Jeff Hardy, Sami Zayn and AJ Styles would open the pay-per-view proper.
