A crazy rejected pitch for Mickie James on the road to WrestleMania 22, involving her grandfather's skeleton on a rocking chair in her house, has been revealed by former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz via Twitter.

James' feud with Trish Stratus coming into that year's Show of Shows still stands as one of the most interesting programmes involving the WWE Women's title in the company's history, as James went from Stratus' biggest fan to her heartbroken worst nightmare.

However, Gewirtz has now shed some light on a proposed promo which could have seen James wander into even darker waters than she already had done in the feud up until that point.

There's still no word on why the company felt this was a step too far on the go home edition of Raw, but James ended up sat in the middle of her own personal shrine to Stratus instead and cut a promo on how her 'new obsession' was going to be the Women's Champion's 'destruction'.

Gewirtz' tweets regarding rejected or proposed WWE pitches from the past have been causing quite the fuss in recent times.

His last revelation came in the form of an apparent unused pitch which would have seen Vince McMahon murder his 'illegitimate son' Hornswoggle back in 2007.
