Current WWE SmackDown Star Shoots On "Slow Burn" Promo Skills
This current WWE flyer isn't too chuffed with criticism about his mic skills.
Ricochet has only just started to "find his pocket" as a mic man in WWE.
The high-flyer told Ryan Satin's 'Out Of Character' show that it has taken him years to get comfortable performing promos. In fairness, as he pointed out, Ricochet didn't actually do too much talking before reaching WWE - in fact, he rarely spoke at all during stints on the indy scene or in Japan.
Promos weren't really his thing, but not because he didn't want to do them. No, it was rarely expected of him. Promoters and fans alike wanted to see Ricochet fly around the ring in gloriously-slick matches against Will Ospreay and others. That was his wheelhouse, and the art of the promo? Well, it never really fit in with his career choices.
So, Ricochet wants people to cut him a bit of slack during this adjustment period. He's been in WWE since 2018 though, and knew he had to get up to snuff ASAP. Finally, after years of learning to "know [his] voice", the popular babyface says he's ready to show the world his promo chops.
Bring it on. Anything that helps this world class talent succeed sounds good.
