Current WWE Star Says She 'Doesn't Want To Get In Vince McMahon's Way'
This WWE Raw wrestler doesn't "get too much face time" with Vince McMahon backstage.
Rhea Ripley doesn't "get too much face time" with Vince McMahon behind the scenes in WWE.
The Raw star turned on tag partner Liv Morgan this past Monday, and it's easy to picture a beaming McMahon waiting for her at Gorilla to celebrate the moment. Did that happen? Maybe/maybe not, but Ripley told the Fightful Podcast that interactions with the boss are kept to a bare minimum.
He's sometimes there with feedback after matches and promos, but Rhea doesn't like to "get in [his] way" during the day at TV. She knows McMahon has one million and one things to do, so she keeps out the road and lets him set about the task of steering the ship.
This doesn't mean that Ripley thinks poorly of Vince though.
She told Fightful that "he seems very lovely" and that she "gets along with him well" - Rhea just doesn't like the thought of badgering McMahon for handshakes or conversation when he's clearly busy. So, before episodes of Raw go live, she steers clear and gets on with doing her own job to the best of her ability.
What a unique environment that Gorilla Position must be.
