For those who missed it, the WWE Hall of Famer underwent spinal fusion surgery earlier this year. With the state of his back worse than doctors expected, D-Von had his L4, L5 and L6 spinal segments fused together.

Speaking on his Table Talk podcast (via WrestlingNews.co), the ECW favourite explained how he'll resume his responsibilities as a WWE producer in June.

"I had my stroke in 2019 and WWE gave me the time off to get better, which was great, but then I also just had back surgery, and again, WWE was very gracious enough to give me the time off to heal and things like that. I'm happy to be able to say that I'll be going back on June 15, back to work again."

D-Von has been working as a producer for WWE since 2016, and he and his kayfabe brother Bubba went into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.

In terms of in-ring, D-Von's last official match came for House of Glory in December '16. There, the Dudley Boyz came up short in a fatal four-way contest for the HOG Tag Team Titles then held by Matt and Jeff Hardy; a match that also featured Private Party and that was won by Angel Ortiz and Mike Draztik of EYFBO.

Where WWE is concerned, the Dudley Boyz did get physical on Raw's 25th celebration in 2018, giving Heath Slater a 3D through a table. D'Von would also accompany the Revival to the ring in a match against the Usos the following year.
