Daffney Unger Dead At Age 46
The wrestling world mourns the loss of a true revolutionary.
In some utterly tragic news, Shannon Spruill - better known to wrestling fans as Daffney Unger - has passed away at age 46.
This heartbreaking news came via the official SHIMMER Twitter account, with Lexie Fyfe making the announcement on behalf of Daffney's family.
"We are very sad to have to announce the passing of Shannon Spruill aka Daffney Unger @screamqueendaff. We are posting this at the request of her family. Please respect their privacy at this trying time. I will miss you my logical sister from another mister."-Lexie Fyfe

The wrestling world had become extremely concerned for Daffney's welfare following an Instagram Live post last night, and social media had been flooded with well wishes for the former WCW and TNA star throughout the day as friends and fans showed their support for the former WCW Cruiserweight Champion.
Under the Daffney name, Shannon Spruil first come to global prominence in late 1999, with her debuting on WCW television in December of that year. A genuine standout of WCW's latter days, Daffney was usually seen alongside Crowbar and David Flair. The Scream Queen would also have a memorable spell with TNA between 2008 and 2011.
