Dalton Castle May Be Headed To WWE Soon
Better call The Boys!
Dalton Castle is one of the hottest talents in ROH right now. Over the past couple years he's seen his role greatly increase in the promotion and appeared destined to become one of their breakout stars.
However, it seems he's also caught the eye of WWE, as they apparently are interested in potentially signing the 31-year-old. According to The Wrestling Observer, Castle's contract with ROH ends at the end of June and he could soon find his way to WWE (likely NXT first).
This would be a pretty big blow to ROH, as Castle is a guy who could be one of their top stars for the next few years if he stuck around. It would be a big get for NXT, though, and help them continue building on their recent momentum.
However, Dalton is not quite at the level of someone like Samoa Joe or Bobby Roode, so he may end up having to change his name if he signed with the promotion.
Not only that, but his gimmick is probably too mature for WWE (it's hard to imagine him being fanned by two young "boys" on SmackDown). If he signs, it wouldn't be surprising to see them repackage him into a completely different character.
