Dean Ambrose Turns Heel On Seth Rollins At WWE Raw
Ambrose snaps on Rollins moments after winning the Raw Tag Team Titles.
In one of the most well-executed WWE turns in quite some time, Dean Ambrose betrayed his Shield stablemate Seth Rollins last night, launching a furious assault on the Intercontinental Champion mere seconds after capturing the Raw Tag Team Titles together.
Rollins and Ambrose had defeated Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler in an excited, heated match. They profited from Braun Strowman's interference and a referee bump, but a double-team on 'The Show-Off' sealed the deal, with 'The Lunatic Fringe' rolling the official back inside following Seth's Blackout finisher.
The long-teased turn came when Ambrose hit Rollins with a Dirty Deeds while they were celebrating. He then continued to knock the tar out of his former partner, beating him up all over ringside, before nailing another Dirty Deeds on the exposed concrete, then exiting through the crowd.
Played out before a stunned Raw audience, Ambrose's turn hit all the right notes. It was a shocking way to end the show, made even more impactful by Roman Reigns' emotional announcement at the top of the night, and something many have been waiting for from the moment Dean returned.
There's currently no word on what will happen with the Raw Tag Team Championships.
