While previous reports believe that a new deal between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery will not be announced at the WBD UpFronts later today, there's now an update on the relationship between the two parties.

As per Fightful Select, any announcement of a new deal between AEW and WBD is expected to be "kept very close to the vest", with the Summer or Fall viewed as a more likely time to see any such announcement take place. On that front, the exclusivity window between AEW and WBD runs through until some point in the Summer, although a specific date is unknown.

Elsewhere, there is a pilot on the way for a new AEW-related show for Warner Bros. Discovery. The only details known about this show right now, is that it won't be a reality series. An announcement on that could take place on social channels as soon as this week.

Where AEW PPVs are concerned, sources Fightful has spoken to indicate that WBD has had interest for a while in adding those events to the MAX streaming service. Proposals have been made on this matter as far back as last year, with it noted how nearly every deal WBD does is with MAX in mind. For AEW's previous deal with WBD, there wasn't as much of a focus on MAX as there clearly is nowadays.

From people Fightful spoke to at both AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery, the two sides have been complimentary of each other and this ongoing process.
