Just days removed from Chris Jericho's "Mart-" cutoff tease on AEW Dynamite, Being The Elite appeared to confirm that former full-time cast member Marty Scurll will be returning to the fold as had been predicted since the company's launch in January.

Harking back to the show's 2018 peak, BTE dropped a comically on-the-nose tease just after the credits of Episode 182, teeing up brilliant bit between The Young Bucks that knowingly parroted and parodied some of the criticisms levelled at them, AEW's win-loss record preservation and Being The Elite as a busted flush.

A close-up zoom on Matt Jackson's phone revealed a selection of searches including "where do i find a villian (sic)" and "or is it spelt villain?" along with gags about Britt Baker and Triple H as well as a telling storyline nod to the recently revived Dark Order.

Scurll hasn't technically ever left this particular universe - he humorously just misses SCU's roller coaster during the AEW-inspired BTE animated credits - but a rumoured big money offer from Ring Of Honor to stay put stirred up a modicum of intrigue until these recent quasi-reveals.

As usual, more on this when it develops, unless Dynamite gets there first.
