Dominik Mysterio has revealed the original pitch for Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero at SummerSlam 2005, and you won't believe what ex-WWE boss Vince McMahon wanted to do.

McMahon suggested having young Dominik hang high above the ring during the pay-per-view ladder bout. Mysterio told Logan Paul's show that the company effectively wanted to treat him "like a Money In The Bank briefcase". Instead, WWE eventually settled on some custody papers that suited the gimmick of the match.

Phew.

There were talks about putting "a waist thing" on the kid and having him "dangle there". Either Eddie or Rey would've had to climb the ladder, unclip Dom, then carry him back down to safety as the winner. That's insane, and it was quickly thrown out during backstage creative meetings.

It would've been far too risky to have a child dangling precariously high above the ring for an entire match like that. Thankfully, logic prevailed and Dominik only had to get involved in a key spot instead. About that: 'Dirty Dom' doesn't remember whether or not they worked out Eddie yelling at him in the corner ahead of time.

That might've been Guerrero ad-libbing in character.
