In an extremely newsworthy episode of Raw, Drew McIntyre sensationally quit WWE.

This week's outing for the company's red brand saw the Scottish Warrior head to the ring to cut a promo, only to say very little as he was serenaded with CM Punk chants. From there, McIntyre said "screw this company" and added "I quit" before leaving the ring.

Following this, Triple H was shown backstage trying to convince Drew not to walk out on WWE, and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce likewise tried to calm the three-time World Champion. Despite these attempts, the frustrated McIntyre stormed out of Corpus Christi's American Bank Center. Not just has the Scot quit WWE, but he's also since deleted all of his social media pages.

Of course, this all plays into the wider storyline between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, with McIntyre very much tied down to WWE for the next several years, having penned a new lucrative deal with the market leader a couple of months ago.

Still, with Punk now advertised for this week's SmackDown from Chicago's Allstate Arena, it remains to be seen whether Drew will appear and ruin the Second City Saint's homecoming - much like Punk ruined Drew's big moment at Clash at the Castle this past weekend.
