Edge A "Lock" To Enter WWE Royal Rumble 2020?
He WILL be returning...on this day...
WrestleZone are the latest source to report that Edge will in fact be returning as an in-ring performer at this year's Royal Rumble in Houston, Texas... calling him a "lock" to enter the annual 30-man event.
Unless you've been hidden under a rock for the last few weeks, you'll be well aware at this stage that the 'Rated R Superstar' has been heavily rumoured to have been medically cleared to compete once more.
These rumours were buoyed by the fact that Edge recently signed a contract with WWE and was spotted in Pittsburgh, where he was presumably meeting up with WWE doctors to confirm his medical clearance.
Edge has both added fuel to - by stating he could 'do a match tomorrow' - and extinguished - claiming there's 'no medical chance' he could compete - the roaring flames of speculation over the last few weeks. But, being a seasoned veteran of the game, would he really be inclined to ruin the surprise if he knew he was about to make his grand return? Probably not.
After he speared Elias into oblivion at SummerSlam in 2019, WWE (and probably Edge) were reminded just how much the current fanbase were yearning for him to appear again.
All eyes are fixed on the rumble and we'll soon find out if the WWE Hall of Famer will strut down the ramp once more.
