Edge Shoots On WWE's Heel Turn Idea
Here's what Edge really thinks about WWE turning him heel then babyface again.
Edge described himself as "a designated hitter" during his recent interview with Bleacher Report.
The 'Rated-R Superstar', who won a heated grudge match vs. Damian Priest on Monday's episode of Raw, told the website that he's willing to listen to any ideas WWE's creative team comes up with and "give it a shot".
That's why he agreed to turn heel earlier this year despite being unsure whether or not it was the best thing for him, or if it was something fans even wanted to see; Edge is keenly aware that he doesn't have unlimited time left as an in-ring worker, and that people genuinely admire his return from retirement.
He's happy playing the legendary babyface again then.
Edge also said that he advised WWE's writers to let people react how they want to react rather than reaching for boos. The Canadian hero really tried his best to make Judgment Day work, but he knows it wasn't what some wanted from his character.
Even Edge himself knows that WWE tried to force things during the first half of 2022. Going back to basics is definitely a better approach.
